For the SAS Solution for IFRS 9, step-by-step deployment instructions are available in the Deployment guide provided with your license. If the above link does not open for you, navigate within your deployment guide to the chapter called "Deployment Instructions". There are steps for either deploying on a new environment or updating an existing environment.

All the content from the SAS Solution for IFRS 9 deployed on SAS9.4_M7 are supported for the SAS9.4_M8 release.

What to lookout for is retired products and features.
When it comes to products, RFW should be of special interest.
