I have a question about how SAS reads TERADATA. Let us assume that all options in SAS/ACCESS are setup correctly

and file ABC in TERADATA has one variable 'one' with type CHAR(3). Now let us assume that we are executing the following sas data step

set work.test;

attrib one length=$3;

set teradata.abc;

run;

I know that by default SAS will assign length 3 to variable 'one'. My question is: will SAS issue a warning if I reassign default length through attrib statement ?

Thanks !
