Hi,

I was trying to open a news SAS Base session and I received an error saying that one of the temp files on my hardisk is full. After I manually deleted the large tables to clear space I received this error:

ERROR: An exception has been encountered.
Please contact technical support and provide them with the following traceback information:
The SAS task name is [sasxkern]
ERROR: Read Access Violation sasxkern
Exception occurred at (36092C2)
Task Traceback
Address Frame (DBGHELP API Version 4.0 rev 5)
00000000036092C2 000000000483E5E0 sashost:Main+0xAFBF2
ERROR: An exception has been encountered.
Please contact technical support and provide them with the following traceback information:
The SAS task name is [EVENTTSK]
ERROR: Read Access Violation EVENTTSK
Exception occurred at (1FFA7D1)
Task Traceback
Address Frame (DBGHELP API Version 4.0 rev 5)
0000000001FFA7D1 0000000003ECF880 tkmk:tkBoot+0x97B1
000000000357490E 0000000003ECF888 sashost:Main+0x1B23E
00000000040224FF 0000000003ECF8B8 sasvwu:tkvercn1+0x1114BF
000000000355E8A4 0000000003ECF990 sashost:Main+0x51D4
000000000355BBE3 0000000003ECFB30 sashost:Main+0x2513
000000000355B733 0000000003ECFBA0 sashost:Main+0x2063
0000000003567B9E 0000000003ECFCB0 sashost:Main+0xE4CE
0000000003568B07 0000000003ECFF20 sashost:Main+0xF437
000000000356D13D 0000000003ECFF50 sashost:Main+0x13A6D
0000000076A2652D 0000000003ECFF58 kernel32:BaseThreadInitThunk+0xD
0000000076F0C521 0000000003ECFF88 ntdll:RtlUserThreadStart+0x21

After I restarted the machine and tried again but the same error pops up and SAS Base does not start.

I messaged SAS support with the error, but I wanted to know if the issue has been dealt with before.

Thank you!

Possibly a corrupt SASUSER profile. You can use the -SASUSER option at startup to redirect to another location, see if it helps. You can also rename/delete the folder in [my documents]\My SAS Files\9.4 to see if that helps.
