Check out the !SASROOT directory. SAS already stores that information for you. Google
Is there a way to read the Windows registry in SAS? I am using an Install program (Advanced Installer) which writes the place where all the SAS code is installed to the Windows registry, but I then need to read it in SAS so I can set it to a macro variable which my SAS code can recognise.

Thanks.
