XML not loading until sas application is closed

I am creating an xml file it's about 40mb.The file shows 0mb until i close the sas application.

The next step is i am running a code to convert the xml file to excel file.The xml file is not available for this code until i close sas application

Please let me know i fi need to use any options

Did you use ods tagsets.... close?

If you did, try this:

(just a shot from the hip)

- assign a file reference to the xml file with filename

- use that reference instead of a physical name

- after the ods close statement, use filename clear to delete the fileref
