I don't have UE but chances are that SASUSER is set to RO.
If you just remove or replace any SASUSER reference with WORK your sample will work (watch out for if the same table name is used in both and WORK and SASUSER).

Hi,

I am using SAS University Edition, preparing for my base sas certification exam. I have the sample data from the book and when try to load and run it in Univsersity edition it gives me the following error message.

ERROR: Write access to member SASUSER.REPERTORY.DATA is denied.

How to I resolve this issue. I really want to practice the sample data along with the book.

Many thanks,

D

If you email training@sas.com they'll provide you with a program that can be run on SAS UE.

There are apparently some more changes to be made than just to the library.

See the post here from a while back. I thought they had posted a new version but can't find the link.
