Based on only a quick skim, here's my initial guess:

You're running on SAS UE and copied and pasted the code from somewhere?

I don't see any massive errors in code and I'm not going to read the macro code. What happens sometimes when pasting into the web browser is invisible characters are added, especially if you grabbed the code from a Word or PDF file.

Try copying the code to a text file first, remove invisibles, then paste back into your browser and try again.
