Even if SAS does not support 9.1.3 on Win7, it doesn't mean that it doesn't work. OLAP Cube Studio is a Java application, and could work...have you trid to install it?

Or, you might have an old Windows Server 2008 (32 bit) you could borrow for thsi excercise?

But, I guess that this is what you are looking for: http://support.sas.com/kb/36/716.html

Extract OLAP Code

I have a problem in that we missed one remaining OLAP cube in SAS 9.1.3, which we now need to recreate in 9.2. Since all our desktops are now running Windows 7, I can't install OLAP Cube Studio for 9.1 or any of the utilities provided with 9.1.

Does anybody know of a way to extract OLAP cube code with base SAS (server platform is AIX)?

Running the OLAP Cube Studio might work. What clearly does not work is the installation of SAS 9.1.3, probably thanks to the morons in Redmond who once again relocated important file locations after Windows XP, and thanks to the inflexibility of the SSN to respond to those changes. Which failing installation also prohibits the use of commandline tools supplied with the SAS software.

I was looking for maybe a way to use PROC METADATA to extract the OLAP cube information.

Well, I managed to get most of the required Information through PROC METADATA and the GetMetadataObjects and GetMetadata methods in the XML request.

If anybody would like to get more detailed information, just reply to this post.
