The PROFBAK is updated from the existing PROFILE catalog each time SAS starts. Generally this should not cause any issue as its existence is to allow you to recover settings if needed. The Profile catalog if deleted will also be recreated on the next start from default values kept in SASHELP.</P><P></P><P>I would however look to see how it was deleted.
