Hello Experts,

I'm wondering why sometimes the code sas is in red, but code is working.

Thank you for your help!

The folks maintaining the code coloring don't seem to get all the options added when they are added to the procedures. So the red indicates a "not found" condition in the code coloring files.

Pretty much every update since the code coloring for errors was added seems to miss something. Since some of the places where the most changes have occurred related to graphic or ods output those seem to have more issues depending on version and procedure.

If these seriously bother you the SAS Fondation/Base SAS/ Display Manager tools you can fake add them to a "user defined keyword" and have them appear as normal code. Tools>options>enhanced editor options>appearance. Scroll down in the "file elements" box to se the "user defined keyword" and set the text appearance options. Go the Enhanced Editor Options General tab and click on the "User define keyword" to bring up a box where you can Add user defined keywords for recognition.
