SAS EG Project not showing programs in the Processflow (on top left)

Hi Community,

Some of our users facing an issue, When they open a Program after save and close they are not seeing program in the file anymore. I mean it's not showing under "process flow" (on top left). Programs are still there though, when they click "Run" button, they can run the project.

I read a post for same issue.

they found a work around, not an actual solution. It's hard for the user to go through the workaround process every time.

Could anyone please help me why it's causing and how to avoid?

This might be another EG bug.

Report it to tech support if no one here can offer a tip.

Which version is used? Latest updates are applied?

SAS EG Version 7.11. No, we didn't apply any updates.

Updating could solve the issue, but the problem is not listed in the hotfix lists for either EG version. Contacting tech-support to verify that the problem is solved in a later version. I am using 7.15 and all programs are visible, but i turned off folder view in EG.

I left this solution in the other post, leaving it here too in case it solves the problem for users here as well:

Make a backup copy of your project and open it
Select Tools ► Options ► Program History.
Press the Clear Program History button.
Uncheck the Enable Program History option.
Click OK to close the options window.
Save this project and close Enterprise Guide.
Reopen the project that you just saved.

(To re-enable the program history for the project, just go back to Tools ► Options ► Program History and check the Enable Program History option.)

I am also having this problem in SAS EG 8.3. I cannot find where to clear the program history though. Is it available in SAS EG8.3?

I have found a solution that works for SAS EG 8.3 and and sharing.
View -> reset to default layout will show all of the programs in the project.

Thanks so much for finding this fix. I thought that I lost several days of work when I opened several SAS files and could not see any of the code I used just a week before.
