1) SAS AP uses SAS Studio as an interface (at least according to this: https://www.sas.com/pl_pl/software/analytics-pro/features-list.html).

In SAS Studio you can build something called "flows" (see: https://documentation.sas.com/doc/en/webeditorcdc/3.6/webeditorug/n157xvzzfhrchbn13d8mfz8bebyu.htm), but I don't think there is a "EG project to SAS Studio flow" converter.

2) Yes, you can for sure run multiple programs in SAS AP. It has a "new" interface, but under the hood there is the same V9 engine (aka, BASE) delivering your analytics 😉

3) If you have multiple programs to run, and you want to ensure they will be "transfer" independent, maybe you should consider using SAS Packages: https://github.com/yabwon/SAS_PACKAGES (tutorial is here: https://github.com/yabwon/HoW-SASPackages)

Greetings,

We are no longer using SAS Visual Analytics or SAS Enterprise guide and have moved to SAS 9.4 Analytics Pro. Is it possible to run SAS Enterprise Guide (.egp) projects in Analytics Pro? We were told by SAS we could do this, but I am not seeing a way to accomplish it.

If not, is it possible to run multiple programs, as you would in a project in EG in SAS Analytics pro?

Thanks,

Gary

@ghartge Just based on documentation here SAS EG is not part of the SAS Analytics Pro offering. But of course you might have licensed SAS EG on top of it.

I can't think of a technical reason why SAS EG couldn't connect to such an environment - and you also write that SAS already confirmed that this is possible.

I've never done it myself but opening SAS EG projects with SAS Studio appears to be possible under certain conditions.

https://support.sas.com/resources/papers/proceedings18/1803-2018.pdf

https://go.documentation.sas.com/doc/en/webeditorcdc/3.8/webeditorug/p0hl5r8qg4chrxn1w6t4fcrizkfh.htm

I would hope that as part of your company's change management process such migration requirements have been identified and there is a plan what needs to be done.
