topic SAS BIGQUERY ODBC Connection Failure in SAS Programming

I am unable to connect and receiving the following error message in SAS and ODBC administrator: ERROR: CLI error trying to establish connection: [Simba][BigQuery] (8701) Error interacting with REST API: Timeout was reached. I increased the timeout threshold in Advanced Options without any luck.

It is odd because this was working fine without issues until today. Any suggestions on what to change in my ODBC settings in ODBC Data Source Administrator to get this to work properly? I'm using Simba ODBC Driver for Google BigQuery. It seems like a coin flip if connection can be established.

If it was working and now it isn't, the problem is identifying the cause and that could involve some diagnosing. Something has changed so it is a matter of finding out what it is. This type of problem is best progressed with Tech Support.

I am querying against a dataset that contains large tables. Anything in advanced options I could try?

Table size is irrelevant if you can't connect to the database. You can't fix a problem if you don't know the cause. Tech Support is your best option.

Good idea. One possible cause is a network / firewall security rule change has blocked access. This is something your IT folks can check out.
