The string "9.04.01M7P080520" is interpreted as

SAS 9.4 Maintenance 7.

You can ignore the string of characters at the end (P080520). Those characters are only interpretable by SAS Technical Support. They indicate internal information that helps TS identify technical information such as patches/hot fixes/release dates, and so forth.

In SAS version name "SAS 9.4 TS1M8", what does "TS" means? By the way, I think the letter "M" is for "maintenance".

I tried "%put &sysvlong;" in SAS editor and got "9.04.01M7P080520". What does that means? Could please explain for me?

According to this link, it means "Technical Support level (TSLEVEL)"
