    <description>&lt;P&gt;In most setups, this won't work, as SAS itself will run on a server and not your desktop.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You could only make it work in a purely local SAS installation, where you can also create a configuration which allows external commands.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I need some code that will open a file produced by a SAS job.&amp;nbsp; X-command will not work due to permissions issues (I guess).&amp;nbsp; A lot of functions will "open" a file's data in SAS memory, but I need it to open the excel application in it.&amp;nbsp; Any help would be appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
