Schedule an automate run of job

Hello

There is a sas program that I need to run in daily base .

I would like to create an automatics run .

It means that I want to schedule automatic run every day.

I saw that there are few options:

1-Via SAS : File---schedule project

2-Via Control panel-Schedule tasks (and create .bat file )

My questions:

A-What is better option? run it via SAS (File---schedule project) or via control panel?

Please note that I think that I dont have permission to run it via control panel but I would like to know the advantages of this way

B-The job I want to run is a program and not a project.

Is it possible to run File---schedule project for a program or it must be a project?

C-If I run it via File---schedule project, is it possible to send an email once the job is done and if there is an error then send the log file via email?

We need to know more about your SAS installation to offer the best advice. Are you running SAS on a remote SAS server or just on your PC? What SAS development interface do you use? SAS Windowing System, Enterprise Guide or SAS Studio?
