&lt;P&gt;What is it doing (once you fix the problem of missing semi-colons) — this is a great example of applying &lt;A href="https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Communities-Library/Maxims-of-Maximally-Efficient-SAS-Programmers/ta-p/352068" target="_self"&gt;Maxim 4&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp; — try it yourself. You can use data set SASHELP.CLASS (&lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;lib=sashelp&lt;/FONT&gt; and &lt;FONT face="courier new,courier"&gt;data=class&lt;/FONT&gt;) if you don't have that particular data set.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
