Hi ,
I have transcode/special symbols in string . I am unable to find out those symbols.
could you please help me how to find those characters (transcode symbols)

Display your character values with the $HEX format (length must be double the defined length of the variable), then you can find the hex codes.

Say you have a variable of length 10, then you issue

put variable $hex20.;

and inspect the log. Restrict the number of observations you read with FIRSTOBS= and OBS= dataset options, as needed.
