topic Pass through sql to Hadoop HIve in SAS Programming

When we Pass through sql to Hadoop HIve, I do not see any mapreduce job in YARN corresponding to that sql? AM I missing anything here? Any aggregation sql hits hive, it should generate Mapreduce job. Please help me understand this. Appreciate your help and time.

I would expect the same, but I don't know.
Technically this is Hive question, and perhaps best answered in such forum. Pass through per se does not involve any SAS processing.

Can just speak for the envionment I have at hand:

Running an SQL pass through on a hadoop hive table, using Hue JobBrowser, I can see the job being created an run.
