Memory Failure Problem.

Hi,

I am executing a job in SAS and it is throwing the below error:-

“ERROR: Hash object added 28311536 items when memory failure occurred.

FATAL: Insufficient memory to execute DATA step program. Aborted during the EXECUTION phase.

ERROR: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of insufficient memory.”

Not able to figure out the correct cause for this issue as i don't think there is memory problem on our server.

What can be the reason for this exit

The issue is not related to the memory on your server, but rather to the amount of memory allocated for the SAS process!

run the following code, to see how much memory was allocated to your SAS session.

Proc Options group=memory; run;

Look for the memsize option
