Hi,

As we all know the limitations in SAS WRS.

So we are opting for other Reporting tools available in the market.

So my question being can we have SAS Dataset/database as the source for Reporting Tools such as Business Objects/Cognos/Microstrategy.

A detailed answer will be very helpful

Thanks in Advance

Yes, through ODBC or OELDB.

For ODBC at least, you need to set up a SAS/SHARE server, and have a SAS license that contains SHARE and SHARE*NET.

If you happen to have SPD Server, I think it's included within that product (for data stored within SPD Server).

So, you could share the SPD Server stored tables via the spdssnet process, see online doc/papers how set this up.
