    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think you will only find it useful if you have to run multiple procs on the same file and have enough memory available.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The first use takes slightly longer than not using it, but subsequent access of the same file should reduce processing time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I dont see much performance improvement while using this statement.:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SASFILE awork.abc.data OPEN;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Several datasteps...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;.........&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SASFILE awork.abc CLOSE;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can anybody tell the effecient use of above statement...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
