Migrating SAS components from Windows to Windows

Hi,

My requirement is to migrate all the sas components from one windows environment to another windows environment. The OS version remains the same. Can I copy the sas components as file copy and use it in the target environment.

SAS Components I mean are

SAS datasets

SAS programs

SAS Metadata ( DASH boards,CUBE,IMAPS,Reports,Stored Processes)

Datasets and programs can just be copied. Metadata has to be exported and imported as a package.

Thanks for the response.

Current Windows Version is 2012R2

Target windows version is 2016.

I still feel that the file copy should work for SAS Programs and SAS datasets.

Thoughts pls...
