University Edition can only import files from the shared folder you defined when setting up the VM.

So you have two different setups, UE and a licensed server installation with Visual Analytics?

Hi

I'm using SAS university edition and trying to import data from a server using a server similar to the following:

libname deals '/AAA/AAA';

But I got the below error

ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.ERROR: The path /AAA/AAA is not in the list of accessible paths when SAS is in the lockdown state.

what should I do?

Also, is there any way to import the data in SAS visual analytics?

Thank you very much.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I have two; one a university edition installed in my PC; and the other is SAS visual which I can access to through Wharton Research Data Service (WRDS) database.

I just want to get the data from the server using any one of them.

As already said, University Edition requires you to put data files (that you want to use for import) or directories with SAS datasets (that you want to assign a library name to) into the shared folder. Other locations in the filesystem are not accessible because of the lockdown state that UE is in.

How to access foreign libraries within the WRDS environment is best asked there.
