i am trying to implement first. and last. logic SAS DI. But this should not be done using user written code option. This should be carried out using SAS DI tools/options. Please let me know if it possible or provide me a link when i can go through.

What's the objection against user written code?

@SMohanReddy

It is DIS best practice to not use user written code if you can do it with other means.

We don't know the logic you have to implement but if it really requires FIRST/LAST then there isn't a ready-made transformation available and you need to defer to user written code.

You can choose "user written body" and still have some of the code metadata driven by using the generated macro variables (i.e. the genarated macro variable holding the variables to be kept in your target data set).
