Using Voice Recognition Software with SAS

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with or has investigated looking at using voice recognition software with SAS? I'm wondering whether there is software that is compatible with SAS, how well it works and how easy it is to set it up.

It would be great if you have any information at all or if you can point me to someone who might know.

You might be able to contact Ann Maria directly through her blog to see what she thought of Dragon Speak and the Chrome extension.

SAS has an accessibility coordinator so talking to them may also be worthwhile.

Wouldn't the output of voice regognition software be text and though from a SAS perspective it's about Text Analytics only and which 3rd party tool gets used for conversion of speech to text doesn't really matter.

I've done a brief Internet search with keywords like voice and speech and there is some information around. Just make sure you restrict your search to the SAS site using the Google syntax: site:support.sas.com

I.e. search site:support.sas.com 9.4 voice analytics brought up:

How do you want to interface with voice recognition software? Would that be live streaming or would you have a bunch of sound files you want to analyze in batch, or ....?

@Patrick My interpretation was using such software to program in SAS. Not sure if I'm correct though.

You are correct, it is to use such software in order to program in SAS.
