How you "export to Excel" affects content as seen by Excel. Proc Export exchanges data values and formats are characteristics, not values in some cases.

Look at these posts for some ideas:

https://communities.sas.com/t5/General-SAS-Programming/date-problem-exporting-to-excel/m-p/229853#M33750
https://communities.sas.com/t5/General-SAS-Programming/Data-Export-to-excel-with-formatting/m-p/173583#M5873
https://communities.sas.com/t5/General-SAS-Programming/Losing-formats-using-an-ODS-to-Excel/m-p/175432#M6978

Proc print to an ODS destination is often easier to get formatted values, especially dates, to Excel.

Good morning:

My question is simple, i need to keep the data format while im working into thos file aplying, erasing some columns and lines.

When i export the data set the format is gone.

Thanks
