I know how to do this in clunky ways, but would it not be nice if proc means noticed when a variable has a date format attached to it and used the format when displaying the min and max of the variable?

While it could work for min and max, that would put them on different metrics than the other stats. Kind of meaningless to show mean, sd, variance, kurtosis, etc in the date formats they might represent.
