Security Warning message

Hi,

Each time I go to the main SAS Communities support page, my browser (IE8) complains with this error message:

I've never seen a message like this. Sometimes I click "Yes", other times I click "No"; it doesn't seem to make any difference.

It's not a big deal, just slightly annoying. Might this be caused by some IE setting in my browsers?

Although no one responded to my question, the problem has been fixed. I am no longer getting this weird popup message. Either the web site was fixed or something was updated on my PC. Regardless, I'm happy now.

Sorry about not responding. We are working on it. Basically, we are revisiting content that was ported over from the old version (before we went to https) and trying to correct all of the issues. I know we haven't gotten them all, but we are slowly eradicating the offenders.

I'd like to report that the weird error message is back. It seems to be related to a link on the page for the "SASWARE Ballot". If I click "Yes" on the main page, that object is displayed as a link displayed in a box. If I select "No", the same area on the page displays an image. I think the problem is with the img tag; it is referring to a file that is not using an https source:

Bob, this is Lainie and I work with . Your message is very helpful. I'll fix that non-https image issue now.

The SASware Ballot was recently launched in this new format. It is technically in the SAS support forum framework, but has not been added to the SAS support community list.

I'd be interested in your feedback and/or suggestions on . Thanks!

Just curious if there is any update on this problem. I can see that the code was changed to use an https reference on that SASWare Ballot link, but the problem did not go away; I still get that "Security Warning" dialog box. I'm not a javascript expert and was just guessing.

Again, I don't know if this is a widespread problem or if it is just something with my own browser (IE 8). I can tell you that I do NOT have this problem when I visit the site using Firefox 11.0. So, I guess I'll just use Firefox.
