I just copied it and pasted but the sas studio does not run it.

That syntax posted alone does nothing. What do you think it does? What are you trying to do?

1. I am sure that not only it doesn't run, but also you have an error message in the log.

You must always check the log. Even if the code runs.

2. This statement belongs in a data step. I cannot do anything on its own.
