Hi Everyone,

I am working with NSQIP data and in the process of merging 2014-2019 data. I keep getting the error below -

ERROR: Windows error code: 1237 in hc_disk_normal_read for C:\Users\mjalvarez\ACS_NSQIP_PUF15_V2.sas7bdat, The operation could not be
completed. A retry should be performed.
ERROR: File NSQIP.ACS_NSQIP_PUF15_V2.DATA is damaged. I/O processing did not complete.

I anyone familiar with his error message and able to point me to a way to address this?

Often this happens with a mapped network drive or USB disk where the connection is interrupted, slow, or otherwise faulty. In this case it seems to be your main C drive (local disk), and it may indicate your local drive is failing. I recommend you use Windows disk diagnostics to check and perhaps repair. And make sure your data is backed up in case your disk hardware is on the verge of failing!
