topic Running SAS code without SAS software - for instance R or Python in SAS Programming

I have a program that is written in SAS. Now, a division in the company will stop use SAS (and not have any access to it at all) - is it possible to run the SAS program any way without having a SAS software. For instance through R, Python or anything else?

The reason asking, is that if I cannot run the SAS code any other way, I would for instance have to manually re-write the code to another language such as R or Python.

All help appreciated.

The reason asking, is that if I cannot run the SAS code any other way, I would for instance have to manually re-write the code to another language such as R or Python.

Yup, that is how it's done. Usually this is factored in the decision to switch tools, because the cost and process of code conversion is long and expensive typically for institutions that had a full SAS software installation.
