Scheduling SAS code to run until an e-mail is received?

Is it possible to schedule a SAS code to be run automatically at a set time until a specific e-mail is received in Outlook? If so, what might that look like?

IMHO, such a proposed solution is problematic. While sending emails from SAS is fine, querying emails coming in via Outlook, from a SAS batch job is problematic.

If you explained what your complete use case is, I am sure there would be better ways to do what you want. For example in SAS it is very easy to do "file event" checking. A SAS job can easily run in a loop checking for the existence of a file in a folder and when it finds it exit the job. A simple solution is usually best.

I think yes. May be difficult but not impossible. Consider the following.

We have the ability to create a ticket with SAS Tech Support by Sending an email.
Once it is done a response comes with the ticket number.

Therefore there may be a way.
I suggest that you contact SAS Tech Support. They may be able to help.
