I would like to have only one observation row for every distinct format reading from a format dataset by inserting a carriage return for every value of the format.
Thereafter, export to Excel with carriage return preserved.
I tried 'OD'x in the datastep but it is not working.
Can anyone please guide me on this?
Thanking you in advance and have a nice day.

Please show the code you used.

You may have to provide a small example of the data used as well.

Instructions here: https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Communities-Library/How-to-create-a-data-step-version-of-your-data-AKA-generate/ta-p/258712 will show how to turn an existing SAS data set into data step code that can be pasted into a forum code box using the </> icon or attached as text to show exactly what you have and that we can test code against.
