    <description>&lt;P&gt;SAS is no longer written in PL/1. That finished back in SAS Version 5 and then switched to C/C++ from Version 6.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Some SAS language constructs bear a resemblance to PL/1 but unfortunately there is no such thing as a language conversion tool from PL/1 to SAS or indeed for most other languages to SAS. SAS SQL is very similar to other SQL flavours but I'm not aware of any automated conversion tools for SQL.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope this is not too way off topic for this board, but does anyone know of a PL/I to SAS conversion utility or program?&amp;nbsp; I know that SAS was originally written in PL/I so this might not be too much of a stretch...&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
