Your MS Access database must be accessible from the machine where your SAS Server is running (not the EG client but the SAS instance).

If that's the case then see here.

Note: The client in the docu is DI Studio but this doesn't matter. The same applies for any client because the ODBC connection is between SAS Server and MS Access.

I am trying to import/connect to tables within a MS Access database but... I do not have SAS/Access to PC Files and I do not have the ACCESS driver that allows me to connect via a libname (i.e. libname GaryDB access "C:GarysDB.accdb"; I get the error: The ACCESS engine cannot be found.)

What I do have:

SAS/ACCESS Interface to Oracle

SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC

SAS/ACCESS Interface to OLE DB

SAS Workspace Server for Local Access

SAS Workspace Server for Enterprise Access

and the MS add-ins for all MS Office products except for Access (which I am not sure if there are any).

Is there a way to get to these tables without any additional licenses?
