Tools>Options>Preferences on the General tab: Recently used file list should be checked, type a number or use scrolls.

You may or may not want the "Show recently used" on Submenu. If that is unchecked then recent files appear at the bottom of the File menu drop down.

Hello everyone,

I am using SAS base on PC.

To open a recent program:

File --

       open program --

                               Quick access --

                                                      Recent files(12) --

                                                                                  mysascode01.sas

May I ask how to customize SAS to show more than 12 files in the list?(the default is 12)

Thank you very much!

This is for recent files in the same SAS session.

If I open a new SAS session that will lost.

What I am looking for is even after my pc was started, when I open a new SAS base console, I can still find my recent opened more than 12 SAS programs I opened recently.

Thanks!

If that did not work then you likely do not have the Preference set to Save preferences on closing.

Tools>options>preferences on the General tab if the "Save Settings on exit" is not marked then none of your changes are kept.

Since I have maintained a 25+ file list for the last 5 or 6 SAS releases this does keep the settings across sessions IF you have the appropriate option to save the settings.
