Run project fails but works manually

So I have a project that if I just click 'Run Project' it will fail, but if I go through manually and run each individual query there is no problem and the project will give the desired output.

Anyone know why this might be happening?

This is the error that happens, ERROR: Unable to get SAS code. Unable to open input data

But like I said I can click through it and it works fine.

You might be having issue regarding the sequence of execution. Did you setup the process flow to execute one program after the execution of the other.

So in the project tree, I can see that the programs are in the correct order, so that one executes before the other

Try running it through an ordered list. And you're running with the code and data in the same location, ie all on server or all on desktop?

Try Export all code in project flow option and see the sequence of programs. Some programs might run in fraction of seconds that you can't visually see in process flow (Yellow & Green color).
