For data management I recommend the Tidy paper from Hadley Wickham, it's more related to R, but the principles are the same.

Otherwise, I also recommend LexJansen.com

I compiled a list a few weeks ago here: https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Communities-Library/Free-SAS-Learning-Resources/ta-p/425554

A lot of the economic models are also statistical but with different terminology. Looking at SAS/ETS documentation and understanding the PROCs there is probably a good idea as well.

Hi Everyone,

I am still a beginner in SAS, and I would like to know what books that you can recommend to me that are more focused on SAS use for economics and finance, as well as good data management strategies. So far I have read The Little SAS Book, SAS by Example, and Cody's Data Cleaning Using SAS.

Also for those who work with finance, what are other software that you consider important to learn for financial data analysis?
