I recently installed SAS 9.3. Every time I create an .rtf file, SAS automatically launches MS Word to display the file. Not ideal when I have to create numerous .rtf files. I really just want to have the file written to a directory (which it does) but not open Word. Is there an option somewhere to stop SAS from opening Word?

Thanks for any help this forum can offer.

There are a number of ways I know about and I presume they are still valid in 9.3. Take a look at the following sas-l thread: http://www.listserv.uga.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0605b&L=sas-l&D=1&P=70301
