WinXP Prof. Installation Error

Hello,
It is my first attempt to install on a Windows XP Prof. system with 1 GB ram.
Its all for testing and training purpose so I use MS Virtual PC.
The very first item of the installation, the System Requirements Wizard fails with an error saying that the Wizard could not find all files to update the system.

Java Platform installs fine.

The next step, the Deployment Wizard takes ages and does not complete.

I hope the never ending installation of the Deployment Wizard is due to the error with the Requirements Wizard.

Why did the Requirements Wizard fail?

There is no log file under C:\Program Files\SAS\InstallMisc\InstallLogs

Hello, I have a few more information. There is a log file now as well but it is not very clear.
