topic Sharing SAS data with Visual Basic in Microsoft Integration with SAS

I know this may not be strictly MS Office but it's (kind of) related.

I'm interested in building a VB front end to access SAS data sets and to process this information in SAS macros in a process controlled by VB. Does anyone have any information on VB/SAS interaction?

Cheers,
Hi:
You can search support.sas.com for more examples. This one focuses on VB .Net and ADO:
http://support.sas.com/kb/25/276.html

And this one talks about custom EG tasks and VB:
http://support.sas.com/kb/9/580.html

And these code snippets:
http://support.sas.com/kb/26/145.html

And this is from the SAS Community WIKI written by Alan Churchill:
http://www.sascommunity.org/mwiki/images/b/bb/Step_by_Step_Guide_for_Developing_Your_First.doc

Or you might consider contacting Tech Support for more help with your specific need. Whether you're inside or outside of the SAS Enterprise Intelligence Platform could make a difference, too.
Hi Cynthia,

Thanks for the (usual) speedy response. I'll trawl through those websites you've found.

Cheers,
