  You can use ODS techniques with PROC REPORT to accomplish this. It would be harder in TABULATE. Basically, with REPORT, you create a character variable from 2 columns and add the ± ... For examples, look at Figure 8 on page 9 of this paper:&lt;BR /&gt;

      <title>ods and proc tabulate</title>

      <description>Does anyone know of a macro or template that would allow for creating tables using ods and proc tabulate with mean ± SD in 1 column or at least n(%) in 1 column?  I spend so much of my time editing tables to look like this it would be great if there was a template out there that did it for you.</description>
