Hi:
This is probably a question that is better suited to the DATA Step forum, than the ODS and Base SAS reporting forum (which deals with PROC PRINT, PROC REPORT, PROC TABULATE and ODS).
Prolific forum contributor Cynthia Zender has teamed up with Lauren Hayworth and Michelle Burlew to write a new book on ODS. It's titled Output Delivery System -- The Basics and Beyond, and is available from SAS Publishing. Order it online at:

http://www.sas.com/apps/pubscat/bookdetails.jsp?pc=61686

We in ODS R&D have just gotten copies. I do love that new book smell!
Problem in SAS Arrays

Dear,

I am getting some problems in SAS arrays. I have to perform some arithmetic operaitons on SAS like "=" ">=" "<=". I am able to do it. But I am getting the problem while performing the "not equal to operation". I have tried all the operators like "~=" "^=" and "NE". But it gives me an error stating "
ERROR: Illegal reference to the array ."

Can you please help me out in solving this issue.
