Hi:
This is not a Base Reporting procedure (PRINT, REPORT, TABULATE question). You may find some help in these papers, which I found by googling on the string:
SAS GMAP hover
and then refining the string once I got a few hits.

For more help with GMAP, you might consider contacting Tech Support.
I'm just starting using SAS and there's a problem i cannot solve.
I have used the GMAP procedure to create a map with many seperated areas and some values/variables for each of them. That works great.
But is there any way to define the format of the "hover data tips"?
The default mouse-over format looks really confusing cause there are many values to display.

I raised a SAS/Graph question on another forum some time back and the author (Rob Allison) dropped me a note offering some examples he created. I hope Cynthia won't mind my adding this off topic link, but I found his material to be so useful I think it should be shared more widely.

Look at his example for SUGI 26 attendance on the page http://robslink.com/SAS/democd1/aaaindex.htm. He annotates four lines of pop-up legend for each data point and produces a very workable map.

You might also want to look at http://robslink.com/SAS/democd15/zoom.htm which was an example he showed me when I made a comment about the famous Charles Joseph Minard graphic portraying Napoleons advance and retreat on Russia in 1812.

David...no problem. I tell my student's about Rob Allison's links all the time. The Napolean chart is classic and the rest of his examples (the dashboard examples here, for example, http://robslink.com/SAS/dashboards/aaaindex.htm) are brilliant.

I learn something everytime I look at one of his programs.
