topic Memory Errors when creating a Word doc with ODS in ODS and Base Reporting

When using the ods tagsets.rtf to open the rtf stream for the word document, I consistently get an I/O error or Insufficient Memory. However, when I set the ODS close statement to "ods html close" the memory error goes away and the memory used by the system is much less. Is there a reason why this happens? Is it okay to close the ODS stream with a different format type?

If you are using a frontend like SAS Studio or Enterprise Guide, the selected (in Options) output type(s) will always be prepared by automatically sent ODS code. You can either close those destinations manually in your code, or you can de-select all output types in the options.
