Hi all

I want to use a list data task in EG project to develop a report

Fields are
BranchNo, Supplier, OrderType, OrderNo, OrderCost, Discount

Grouped on BranchNo, Supplier, OrderType, OrderNo

Sub totals for OrderCost, Discount (for each BranchNo, Supplier, OrderType, OrderNo)

Grand Total for OrderCost, Discount (for each BranchNo, Supplier)

How can we do it through List data

Hi:
The List data task performs both subtotals and grand-totals on the same variables. In order to get subtotals on one set of variables and grandtotals on different variables in your final output, you would either have to use PROC REPORT or a DATA Step program.

Of the two choices, I would consider PROC REPORT to be the easier choice. There is no task, at this time, for PROC REPORT. So, you would have to use PROC REPORT in a code node to create this report.

For help with PROC REPORT, there is an excellent section in the documentation entitled, "How PROC REPORT Builds a Report". In addition if you Google for SUGI or SGF papers on PROC REPORT, you will find a lot of references. In addition for help with PROC REPORT and submitting code through an EG code node, your best bet might be to contact Tech Support.
