    <description>&lt;P&gt;It takes time to run large amounts of data in a single thread in SAS 9 programs. Now you can run data steps faster in CAS, since it takes advantage of multiple threads and parallel processing. In CAS, there are hundreds of threads available across several machines. The parallel processing starts the data step on multiple machines and divides the workload among threads on these machines.&lt;/P&gt;
