Using keyboard key sequence to format comments

I watched an instructional SAS video where the "teacher" typed a comment (i.e. "list first 10 rows") and then selected it w/ a cursor and hit "Control" and "Slash" on the keyboard. The comment was automatically transformed into appropriate commenting format: "/* list first 10 rows */".

The teacher was using SAS University Edition on Windows. Not sure about the browser. This combination of keystrokes does nothing on a Mac using Chrome.

Any insight? Seems like a useful little shortcut. Thanks.

If you're running on a Mac the keyboard shortcut to insert/remove comments is Cmd+/ not Ctrl+/ - you don't actually need to select the whole line either, just place the cursor anywhere on that line and the whole line is commented out.
