    <description>&lt;P&gt;That's not an error, just a notification. It means your SAS dataset was created on a different system with different CPU architecture (32 vs. 64 bit, big- vs. little-endian, UTF vs. single-byte encoding), and SAS will convert it on the fly, possibly with decreased performance.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-weight: 400;"&gt;The following error message appears when I attempt to run a file:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-weight: 400;"&gt;sas data file (filename) is in a format that is native to another host, or the file encoding does not match the session encoding. cross environment data access will be used, which might require additional cpu resources and might reduce performance.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-weight: 400;"&gt;What does it mean that my file is in a format "native to another host?"&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-weight: 400;"&gt;Thanks!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
